The Karaz Ankor‚ which in the Dwarf tongue means "The Everlasting Realm" or "The Mountain Realm" as the Khazalid word for mountain and extreme durability are the same‚ is the name for the entire empire comprised of all the subterranean Dwarf strongholds located in the Worlds Edge Mountains that the Dawi have inhabited since the earliest days of their recorded history.

In archaic sources the hold is sometimes named Caraz-Adul‚ which means "Land of the Tallest Peak"‚ because it lies within a valley amongst the tallest peaks of the Worlds Edge Mountains.

Here you shall find the most loyal of brothers and sisters! Axes and picks in hand‚ their fierce love of ale‚ gold and battle is matched only by their undying affection for their kin‚ whom they place above all else.
