About This Group

LGBTQ.7981 Refraction VR's purpose is to be a genuine sanctuary for LGBTQ+ people and our allies within VRChat. It was created to be a safe haven that allows us to express our authentic selves without fear of judgment.

Our theme is built right into our name? "Refraction." The idea is that our community acts like a prism. It's a space that welcomes everyone and‚ in turn‚ reveals and celebrates the beautiful‚ diverse spectrum of identities and experiences within it. Its all about seeing ourselves and each other in a new‚ more accepting light.

This leads directly to our community focus‚ which is centered on creating genuine‚ heartfelt connections. While we host plenty of fun events like game nights and hangouts‚ our main priority is fostering a "chosen family" atmosphere. We focus on mutual support‚ providing a space where people can be vulnerable‚ ask questions‚ explore their identity‚ and build lasting friendships with others who truly understand and uplift them.
