About This Group

Origin & Formation

The 501st Company of the First Order was founded in 28 ABY‚ not long after the First Order began openly mobilizing. While not officially connected to the infamous 501st Legion of the Old Empire‚ its architects intentionally revived the number to invoke the fear‚ efficiency‚ and battlefield mystique once a*sociated with Vaders personal troops.

Unlike most companies formed from ma*s-produced stormtrooper cohorts‚ the 501st was a*sembled from recovered candidatestroopers who had survived catastrophic defeats‚ orbital bombardments‚ ambushes‚ and shipwrecks. These soldiers were believed to possess an instinct for survival that statistics could not replicate.

The First Order High Command labeled them?

Wraithstroopers who should have died‚ yet refused.

Thus‚ the 501st Company became known as the Imperial Wraiths.
