KILMER SCP SITE BACKSTORY

Kilmer SCP Site was established in 1998 following a cluster of unexplained disappearances and reality disturbances detected in a remote industrial region known as Kilmer Sector-7. Initial investigations by civilian and military agencies ended in total failure‚ with personnel lost and records erased under Foundation authority.

Rather than destroy the area‚ O5 Command authorized the construction of a permanent containment facility directly over the anomaly source. Kilmer SCP Site was built underground‚ designed to isolate‚ study‚ and suppress multiple high-risk SCP objects whose behaviors appeared interconnected.

In 2006‚ the site suffered a cla*sified containment failure known as the Kilmer Blackout‚ resulting in a complete power loss lasting eleven minutes. During this period‚ several SCPs breached containment‚ internal communications collapsed‚ and multiple personnel vanished without trace. When power was restored‚ Foundation systems recorded the existence of an SCP designation that had never been approved yet was already listed as contained.

Since the incident‚ Kilmer SCP Site has operated under enhanced security protocols‚ constant MTF presence‚ and direct oversight from the Ethics Committee and O5 Council. The site specializes in anomalies considered too unstable or dangerous for standard facilities‚ including memetic‚ temporal‚ and reality-altering threats.

Rumors persist that the site itself exhibits anomalous properties. The Foundation neither confirms nor denies these claims.
