Mathgrind is an extreme genre of hardcore/metalcore in which Mathcore and Grindcore are fused together to make a chaotic yet talented rhythmic experience.

Mathgrind is a shorthand term that is used to describe bands that play a fusion of mathcore and grindcore. Overall the music contains the intensity and aggressiveness of grindcore. It also emphasizes complex and fluctuant rhythms through the use of irregular time signatures‚ polymeters‚ syncopations and tempo changes which is often seen within the mathcore genre. Affiliated genres include Emoviolence‚ Emo-Grind‚ Cybergrind‚ Deathgrind‚ Falsegrind‚ Sa*sgrind‚ Scenegrind‚ Techgrind and Whitebelt.
