About This Group

This group is dedicated to people who enjoy the Dumbo Octopus （scientific name Grimpoteuthis Discoveryi）. These cirrate octopi get their names from the elephant of the titular 1941 Disney movie ＂Dumbo＂. They are best identified for their ear-like fins and adorable appearance‚ with over 17 recognized species and countingǃ

They are closely related to other cirrate octopus species such as the Flapjack Octopus‚ the Blind Cirrate Octopus‚ and the Glowing Sucker Octopus‚ with the biggest of them all being the Big-Eyed Jellyheadǃ

They have also appeared in media such as Finding Nemo （Pearl）‚ Tap Tap Fish Abyssrium （The Icon of the group）‚ and several mascots of content creators （Takodachis by Ninomae Ina'nis）
