The Codex appears as a ma*sive tomebound in flayed xenos hide‚ sealed in ferric adamantium‚ and chained with hexagrammic wards. It is alive‚ in a sense˸ it pulses with a low‚ droning hum that can be heard only in complete silence. Some claim it breathes.
The text within is always shifting. Observers report that no two readings are alike. Some see scripture in High Gothic‚ others in unknown tongues that cause physical pain to read. It is not written for mortal minds.
