Why do we wear such large hats? Here are some main reasons˸

1. To hide our eyes from your judgment.
2. A status symbol of high wealth or intellect.
3. An easy identifier for others to think ＂This person knows magic and can probably cast some dangerous spells.＂

But the reason answer˸

4. To keep our spellbooks dry while casting spells in rainy weather. It would suck if we are useless in the rain.
