About This Group
if i see another person using scenecore to refer to scene or calling it the scene "aesthetic" im gonna F**KING crash out.

SCENE is the subculture that derived from the hardcore scene and emo subculture in the mid 2000s. It is generally cla*sed from 2006-2014. The term "scene" came from a derogatory term used for women in the hardcore scene‚ "scenesters" seeming to start in around 2002. Scene's BASIC features are side-parted hair which was generally dyed‚ had extensions or raccond tails‚ side-swept bangs‚ makeup which can be fairly extravagant‚ and the music. ANY clothes can be scene if you have the hair. Scene fashion can range from a tank top‚ pair of shorts‚ some osiris and a studded belt‚ to a graphic tee‚ tutu‚ knee high converse‚ripped tights and kandi‚ however the "OG" scene tended to be less accessorised. Scenecore is usually characterised by being an "exaggerated" version of scene. Scenecore is also an AESTHETIC‚ whereas scene is a SUBCULTURE. I think what people mean by the "scene aesthetic" is they like how it looks˸ they like the fashion. But scene is NOT just the fashion‚ scene is NOT just the music‚ scene is a subculture with its own beliefs as well‚ and is a LIFESTYLE. a SUBCULTURE. IT would be like wataering punk (political based subculture) down to JUST the music‚ or goth down to JUST the looks (music based subculture).
