˸the solar union History from the Nexus˸

As the human Union of Sol began to expand into the stars by the late 23rd Century‚ they discovered many worlds‚ habitable and otherwise. Many of these worlds had life on them‚ but nothing considered intelligent. Eventually however‚ this would change.

Humanity would encounter the Protogens in the empty void of space‚ a Sapient Species of partially Cybernetic Canine Creatures created by a distant‚ advanced Civilization of sadvanced beings. Their history was fuzzy and their origin unknown‚ which immediately sowed a lot of mistrust as the two species began to adapt to one another's presence. Eventually‚ this would erupt into a Cold War that ends with a large portion of the Union of Sol separating. These separatists would maintain the Union of Sol's values and colors‚ adopting themselves under a new flag˸ the Solar Union.
