About This Group
Shortly after the Horus Heresy‚ and the forces of chaos as a whole were pushed back to the eye of terror‚ The Sanctified remained one of the many war bands of the Word Bearers to stay almost entirely intact.
Unlike their counterparts whom follow Chaos Undivided‚ The Sanctified took to worshiping Khorne‚ whom in turn granted them daemon like instincts for war‚ carnage‚ and destruction. In doing so they became one of the more well known war bands.
While still following many of Lorgars teachings regarding the Book of Lorgar‚ The Sanctified have adopted much more brutal means of indoctrination than most‚ that more fitting the phrase zero tolerance for those who oppose the word and do not accept it as truth. Rule through fear‚ bloodshed‚ and destruction if necessary.
Upon the creation of the Great Rift‚ also known as Cicatrix Maledictum‚ the Sanctified resumed their role of the conversion of worlds‚ or the exterminatus of those whom opposed and were seen as heretics that were deemed impossible to reason with.
While their means of conversion are often seen as unethical‚ and even shunned by many in their own legion‚ one thing about them is for certain. They are a force to be reckoned with.
