The Scions of Redemption are the Second of the Imperial Fists Space Marine Chapters battle companies. Due to their highly maneuverable nature and unmatched resilience‚ they have been known to operate single-handedly in campaigns throughout the Imperium‚ from their strike cruiser‚ the Tonitrua.

The Marines of the 2nd Company adhere strongly to the Imperial Fists traditions regarding the nature of pain as the path to purity and clarity. According to the Chapter's records‚ the failure of the 2nd Company led to the near-total annihilation of the Chapter in the War of the Beast. This created a pathological hatred of weakness within the company following the Chapter's reconstitution at the end of that conflict; the 2nd Company view themselves as bearing the Chapter's sins as penance and seek to atone themselves even many thousands of years later.
