About This Group
(For the vanilla Avali enjoyers only!~ Paraphrased from RyuujinZERO's notes)

Physiology?
Avali resemble ancient Earth's Stenonychosaurus‚ standing bipedal at ~3ft tall and measuring 5ft from snout to tail. Their thick insulating feathers include wing plumes that enable short glides - not flight - in their planet's dense atmosphere.

Their large eyes are adapted for extremely low light. Without irises to regulate light‚ they're nearly blind in daylight and have poor visual acuity. This is offset by their four independently mobile ears‚ which allow them to hear in detail and build 3D mental maps using reflected soundwaves.

Avali are not mammals. Males and females are distinguished by feather patterns? females have muted‚ speckled tones‚ while males sport bright‚ iridescent bands.

Society?
Avali live in lifelong sibling packs‚ evolved for intuitive team hunting. Their auditory abilities let them process multiple conversations at once and reach consensus quickly without turn-taking.

Packs function socially as a single unit? they live‚ work‚ and move together‚ rarely separating. Privacy and personal space are alien concepts.

Losing a packmate is devastating. These bonds can't be replaced‚ and damaged packs are seen as disabled equivalents. Decline in function is common‚ and isolated Avali often spiral into madness.

Interspecies Relations?
Avali make friends quickly and love to explore - but not all species enjoy being swarmed‚ questioned‚ and climbed on. Unaccustomed Avali often treat outsiders the same as other Avali‚ speaking over each other and making unsolicited contact‚ frustrating more etiquette-bound cultures.

Most species underestimate them due to their size and friendliness - a fatal mistake. Many forget Avali descend from their world's top pack predators.
